Join Ananda Foundation for working towards transforming the lives of dairy farmers

Rashtriya Gokul Mission

The Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM), initiated in December 2014, is a crucial effort focused on the development and preservation of native bovine breeds. Its primary aim is to boost milk production and increase the productivity of cattle, addressing the rising demand for milk and ensuring a more profitable livelihood for rural farmers.

This significant mission has been seamlessly integrated into the overarching Rashtriya Pashudhan Vikas Yojna, spanning from 2021 to 2026, with a substantial budget of Rs. 2400 crore. The far-reaching impact of the RGM is poised to enhance productivity, extending its advantages to all cattle and buffaloes across India, particularly benefiting small and marginal farmers.

Notably, this program carries a special significance for women, given that over 70% of the labor in livestock farming is contributed by them, marking a positive stride towards gender-inclusive development.

In our pursuit of a brighter tomorrow, Ananda Foundation has wholeheartedly embraced the Rashtriya Gokul Mission. In everything we do, we're dedicated to improving the lives of our special cows, ensuring the health and prosperity of our native bovine breeds.

Guided by the mission's goals, we aim to enhance bovine productivity in a sustainable way, using cutting-edge technologies. Come join us on this journey towards a future that is both sustainable and prosperous for everyone.
